Hey everyone!! Lovely thumbnail huh? This vlog contains footage from my last day in virginia. I went shopping at the awful mall known as Potomac Mills with my mom, was almost hit by a car and stalked by the driver, ate donuts for my dad's birthday, and said goodbye to my best friend, oh, and did some very last minute packing for the LONG day of travel we had the next morning. I did an in-depth review including swatches on the new, highly-coveted Yes, Please palette from Colourpop. Managed to get my hands on this with the help of my bestie, and so far I love it! I talked about these topics in the video:
1. Price
2. Packaging
3. Color variety
4. Pigmentation
5. Blendability
I'll post more pictures of this palette eventually but until then, check out the video. To summarize my thoughts from the video:
1. The palette is VERY affordable (breaks down to $1.33 per shadow)
2. Compact and travel-friendly. Although prone to getting dirty and missing a mirror
3. Love the shade selection, but wish there was a light/shimmery highlight/lid shade
4. Shades are undoubtedly pigmented, although some are powdery
5. Some of the matte shades are hard to blend due to powdery kickup

I explained a lot in the video I linked about where I've been, why I disappeared, and where I want to go with my channel. Since this blog is still my baby, and where it all started, I wanted to post separately on here.
So to make this simple, here's what's going to happen

I am going to redesign my blog and YouTube channel-and make it more like an actual website
I'm changing the direction of my internet presence. I don't want to just talk about makeup anymore. I want to talk about other topics (like nutrition, health, education, life experiences) that I think will help and touch people as well. More on that later
I'm going to be vlogging on my channel because I'M DOING THE DISNEY COLLEGE PROGRAM. yay.

I was browsing Nouveaucheap like I do on the daily, and I found an older article she wrote about reverse shampooing. Intrigued and frustrated with my current hair routine (which has been failing me), I decided to give it a try. I've been doing this for the past week and have been so happy with the results, I wanted to share it with you!
Hey guys! Welcome back to The Suitably Named. So I'm currently on breakfrom school which means a lot more free time, which means me getting hard into something new. That new something this time has been natural skincare remedies. I've decided to start leaning away from most store-bought products, and to start saving some money and making my own! DISCLAIMER: I am just a newbie at this, if you are really wanting to get into DIY skincare/beauty products-do your research. If you add water to any natural ingredients, you need a preservative to help protect against bacteria growth. Also, be careful with the use of essentail oils. These are very concentrated and could cause toxicity if used improperly. Do your research. That being said, I used way too much lemon oil and decided to use this as a body moisturizer instead of a face moisturizer.
I recently took a stab at this whole DIY skincare thing, and made my own night cream. I liked this recipe I came up with so much that I wanted to share it with you guys! It's pretty simple to make-if you can combine ingredients in a bowl and mix them together, you are more than capable of making this for yourself!
Hey guys! As you probably noticed, I've been changing up my blog design a little. It's taken some time but I'm really happy with the progress so far-and I've done it all myself. Besides the new clean header, I think my new favorite feature is my round sidebar photo. I tried a lot of complicated ways to get that photo through adding a special widget or altering the code, but then I figured out a much easier way to go from old square to new round. When I figured this out I got really excited and wanted to make a tutorial on this my next priority. So if you want to know how to make your profile image round, keep on reading.

Step 1, delete your current "about me" gadget. Throw it out. This gadget has a set structure linked to your google plus account, and is too hard to change to waste time trying. Just go to your layout, click edit on your about me gadget in the side bar, and select "remove."

Now that the semester has come to an end and the new year is about to begin, I thought I would try to get back into the swing of this blogging thing.
Before we get there, I wanted to take the time to wish anyone who might be reading a very Merry Christmas! I've been taking time to reflect on the past year and to take time to appreciate what I've gained and what I've learned. I encourage you all to do the same, because you're never guaranteed more time with the people you love. So moral of the story, let the special people in your life know how much they mean to you, and don't waste time wondering if it's a good time to do so or not-because it is!
