A few months ago a skincare company called VIIcode Skincare reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in trying and reviewing some eye masks. Of course I said yes! That’s what you’re here for isn’t it? Let’s get right into it!

Designed for continuous 8-hour use overnight with a natural, alcohol-free, and non-irritating formula. The individually wrapped O2M Oxygen Eye Mask for dark circles will help nourish the skin under and around your eyes, so you look young, refreshed, and well rested again.
An 8 HOUR mask??? Sure I’m down, sign me up! To be completely honest, I was a little skeptical about wearing an eye mask overnight. I was for sure that they wouldn’t stick and that I would wake up to find these little eye patches stuck to my pillow. The box comes with six treatments you’re supposed to use over a 2-3 week period. Of course, you don’t have to wear them overnight (the website recommends wearing them for at least 2-3 hours if you are uncomfortable with overnight wear), but I wanted to get the most out of this product, so I used 2 masks every week for 3 weeks, overnight each time :)

At first glance, these look like any standard eye masks. However when you peel the protective layer off the bottom, it reveals a pretty thick layer of gel (the side that sits on your skin). The mask has no smell at all, just a cooling effect that is quite pleasant (tip: keep these in the refrigerator for an even more refreshing experience). So, did these bad boys end up falling off in my sleep? Only two out of the six nights did the mask come loose and stick to the pillow. Oddly enough it was just the left mask both times! I find that these actually stay in place pretty well. I tend to be a face-in-the-pillow sleeper, but if you sleep more gracefully than me, they’ll have no problem staying in place. I would just recommend trying to get comfortable in a neutral-spine position to fall asleep in. I would also avoid using these treatments after long, exhausting days, as you will be more likely to pass out face-first into your pillow :)
After wearing them overnight, I noticed that the gel layer had almost shrunk, as if some of the product had absorbed fully into my skin overnight. I also want to add that I appreciate the size of these masks! They aren’t too big, but as you can see by the picture above, they cover the majority of the undereye area. So what’s the verdict?
I LOVED this product! After each use, I noticed my eye area was not only de-puffed, but well moisturized and significantly brighter than the day before. I also noticed that my undereye concealer applied and blended much more evenly the mornings after use. I do want to note that since I’m 22 years old and have decent genetics when it comes to the eye department, dark circles aren’t particularly an issue for me. I do experience some darkness in my immediate undereye area, but nothing extensive. Therefore, I cannot promise that this product will eradicate dark circles, if that is your concern. While I didn’t notice too much of an effect in the dark circle department, the product’s ability to completely de-puff my naturally puffy eye area, brighten and deeply moisturize, combined with the pure innovation of the product makes this a win for me!
